This guide is particularly useful to those who wish to: escape from a ddoser or hacker; get around an IP ban on game sites and other websites; stay anonymous while surfing the web. This works on all versions of Windows, however steps may differ. In this example I am using Windows 8.
Move your mouse to the top-right corner of the screen and click on "Search".
Type in "cmd" then press enter. This will open Command Prompt.
In Command Prompt, type "ipconfig /all" (don't forget the space after ipconfig) and press enter. Locate your Physical Address (this is the same as the MAC address).
Make sure you get the Physical Address of the correct network adapter as usually there are several listed.
Go back to the Search screen and type in "ncpa.cpl", then press enter.
Select the appropriate network connections adapter, right-click on it and then press "Properties".
Click on the "Configure..." button.
Under the Advanced tab, you should see "Network Address".
On the right of this, under "Value:", type in your new MAC Address:
Your new MAC Address should be the same as what it was in Command Prompt, but with a different number or letter at the end.
Click on "OK", then restart your modem. This will change your IP.
